We have introduced a 'Best Dressed Award' to school, and this weeks winners are.....CARSON CLASS, Well Done you all look amazing!!!!
At our Thomas Ashton school, Discovery site. We have created a multisensory corridor for our children to access. The children have the opportunity to follow a series of guided movements using the markings on the ground and walls to promote learning through a multisensory approach. Further promoting our Thrive Approach practises using our Yoga, breathing and expressive movement stations. The children were apart of the setting up of the corridor and helped develop our ideas to create ownership in our communal area.
We are proud to announce that our pupils took part in Holocaust Memorial Day. Our project was chosen out of 400 schools to be included in the annual booklet from Holocaust memorial Trust. Well done everyone.
Today, Monday 22 June, marks the second-ever Windrush Day, a day which commemorates the Windrush Generation and their legacy. Today is a fairly new celebration, having only started in 2018.
Gorilla group used this as an opportunity to work on their Asdan award about their wider understanding of history by learning about ‘the Windrush generation’
