KS2 Football Match

Whilst the KS3 football team have already played this season, Thomas Ashton School, in partnership with our sports providers Active Tameside, arranged a special football match for our KS2 pupils.
The match was played on the 18th October at the Medlock Leisure Centre against Parochial School, a mainstream primary school in Tameside.
The purpose for the football match was to give our younger pupils the opportunity to participate in something they would enjoy, at the same time promoting social skills, communication and teamwork.
Theo, Josh, Dylan, Kian and William all played exceptionally well and between them scored some fantastic goals against the other team.
Members of staff from the other team commented on how well our pupils played together and even when the score was not in their favour they continued on, without a fuss.
We are all very proud of the pupils involved and would like to thank Parochial School for their sportsmanship
