Each year as part of our special needs arts hub all the special schools in Tameside come together to form one annual art exhibition. We have been doing this now for a number of years. The aim of the exhibition is to celebrate the artwork of all children across the special schools in Tameside, whilst at the same time trying to raise money for Reuben's Retreat in Glossop.
Reuben's Retreat walk side-by-side with individuals to whole families so they are not alone, providing support that is specific to their needs including therapeutic activities, counselling, drop-in and peer support groups, plus fun times, memory making and short breaks. As they renovate and develop the charity’s forever home the scope of their services will grow and enable them to support even more families in need.

Last year was quite a different gallery due to the pandemic and that was our first virtual art exhibition. Unfortunately, this year has also prohibits us from running an actual gallery and for the second year running we will be doing this virtually. We still hope to raise money within school by selling items for Reuben's Retreat.
Please take time to browse the children's artwork from across the Tameside schools. I think it's true to say that despite us facing unprecedented times, the pupils have produced some outstanding work for you to view at your leisure.
If you would like to purchase any of the artwork, Thomas Ashton Pupils will be selling their in order to raise money for Reuben's Retreat.
Thank you once again for your support, hope to see you all next year...… In person !
